The walleye fishing in late September can be quite good. We are usually just ending our season around the first of October, but this is because we have other jobs not because of the fishing. One thing about this time of year is that you have to watch out for the weather and the water temperature. If the lake turns over the walleye can slow down.
A few other nice things about this time of year is the Lakers are at the surface. They are out of season but if you are fishing for walleye they are still fun to catch and throw back in. And the best part about September is there is no Bugs!
